Legitimate and verifiable members of the media may register on the Academy Press List to receive Academy press releases, access photos from Academy events and request Academy Awards media credentials (when available). The Academy Press List is not for members of the general public.
Registration in the Academy Press List does NOT constitute completion of the application for media credentials to the Academy Awards. To submit an application, you must first log into your press list account, then select the "Apply for Media Credentials" link, and complete the application.
Oscars Setup credentials provide legitimate press representatives with access to specific exterior locations from Monday, February 18, 2013, at 9 a.m. PT to Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. PT. Oscars Setup credentials do not provide access to Red Carpet arrivals. Oscars Setup credentials will be made available only to media outlets wishing to report about the Academy Awards; they will not be provided to anyone seeking to photograph, audiotape, or videotape material for any other purpose.
The deadline to apply for day-of-show credentials and Oscars Setup Credentials for the 85th Academy Awards has passed. We are not able to accept late applications.
